Emanuil Manolov House of Culture

The House of Culture “Emanuil Manolov” is one of the emblematic places for culture in Gabrovo – an impressive building, built in 1959-1964 according to the project of arch. Karl Kandulkov, with sculptural design by prof. Iliya Iliev. The interior preserves an artistic narrative of important moments in the city’s history – bas-reliefs and monumental frescoes, wrought iron with rosettes on doors, windows and staircases, lobbies with multi-coloured marble and brass chandeliers.

Today the House of Culture is the cultural centre of Gabrovo – a stage for opera, symphony and chamber concerts, ballet, dance and music performances, as well as a place where hundreds of children and young people develop their talents in schools and ensembles.
