Temple “St. Onufrio, Damascene and All the Martyrs of Gabrovo”

Temple "St. Onufriy, Damaskin and all the martyrs of Gabrovo" is the new Orthodox church of Gabrovo. Construction began in 2016, and its completion was supported through donation campaigns and government funding. Today the temple is fully completed and furnished. The building provides space for a Sunday school and library, and the space around it has been landscaped.

The Church of Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Gabrovo Sokolski Monastery

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gabrovo Sokol Monastery was founded in 1832 and the stone church was consecrated on August 15, 1834. The church preserves an iconostasis from 1862, valuable icons and frescoes by Renaissance scribes. In the monastery there is also a chapel "Holy Annunciation", and in the courtyard there is a white stone fountain with eight spouts built by master Kolyu Ficheto. The feast day of the temple is on 15 August - Great Mother of God.

The Church of Holy Trinity in Gabrovo

The Holy Trinity Church in Gabrovo was built in the 19th century and consecrated in 1889. The new temple was built according to the project of master Gencho Novakov and is among the most important church buildings in the town. The temple preserves a valuable iconostasis, altar doors from 1814, icons by famous zoographers and frescoes by Hristo Apostolov from Bansko. The church feast is celebrated on the Holy Spirit.

Church of St. John the Precursor

Temple "St. John the Baptist Church in Gabrovo is the oldest preserved church in the town, built in the XV-XVI centuries. Over the years, it has been rebuilt many times, and in the 19th century, master Gencho Kanev added a narthex and two domes. The church preserves a valuable iconostasis from 1814 and icons made by Trevno zoographers. The church feast is celebrated on 7 January - Ivanov Day.

Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gabrovo was built in 1865-1866 and is one of the most significant examples of Bulgarian Renaissance architecture. The work of master Gencho Kanev, the church is an immovable cultural property of national importance. The church impresses with a beautiful iconostasis, valuable icons, exterior and interior frescoes. In the courtyard there is a chapel dedicated to Sts. Petka - the patroness of Gabrovo. The feast day of the church is on August 15 - Great Mother of God.

Hiking trail Vitata stena

The Wita Wall is an arched rock crown in the northwestern part of the karst plateau "Strazhata", located between Sevlievo, Dryanovo and Gabrovo. The place has a rich history - it has been used since ancient times as a refuge, fortification and strategic point. Traces of habitation have been found in the caves and on the rock massif, associated with prehistory, the Thracians, the Roman era and the Middle Ages.

Lyulyatsite

The locality of Lyulyatsite is located 15 km west of Gabrovo and is famous for its clean air, beech forests and beautiful nature. The area is a protected area and offers good conditions for recreation, balneology and treatment of respiratory, allergic and other diseases. Lulyatsite is a suitable starting point for hiking trails to Uzana, Gabrovo and nearby villages and neighborhoods.

Natural park “Bulgarka”

Nature Park "Bulgarka" preserves valuable beech forests, rare plants, rich fauna and important cultural and historical sites in the central part of the Balkan Mountains. The park covers areas in the municipalities of Gabrovo and Tryavna and offers excellent conditions for nature, cognitive and cultural tourism. Many medicinal plants, protected species and beautiful natural sights can be found here.

Central Balkan “National Park”

Central Balkan National Park is one of the most valuable protected areas in Europe. Located in the high parts of the Balkan Mountains, the park preserves centuries-old forests, rare plant and animal species, high peaks and impressive natural landscapes. It offers excellent conditions for hiking, cycling trails, equestrian tourism, bird, plant and wildlife watching. "Central Balkan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the first biosphere parks in Bulgaria.

Museum of the architectural historical reserve “Bozhentsi”

Museum of Architectural and Historical Reserve "Bozhentsi" preserves and presents the architecture, history, lifestyle and culture of the local population from the late 18th to the early 20th century. Founded as an independent institution in 1968, today the museum is an important centre for cultural tourism, education and events. Visitors can explore the museum houses "Baba Rayna" and "Doncho Popov", the Mengemata, the Kili school, the Old and the New school, as well as the church "St.. They will also visit the Church of the Prophet Elijah. The museum organizes reenactments, exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances and creative workshops.

Museum of Humour and Satire

The Museum of Humour and Satire in Gabrovo is a unique cultural institute of international importance, established on 1 April 1972. It preserves and presents humorous and satirical art from all over the world, continuing the traditions of Gabrovo - the Bulgarian capital of humour. In 10 exhibition halls, the museum offers rich exhibitions, events and attractions for young and old. Visitors are greeted by the Laughter Park with sculptures of favourite humorous characters such as Peter Pan, Charlie Chaplin, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

Interactive Museum of Industry

The building of the Interactive Museum of Industry in Gabrovo is an immovable cultural property of local importance and preserves a history of more than 120 years. Today, it is home to Bulgaria's first interactive museum of industry, which presents the development of Gabrovo as an industrial centre through modern technology, holograms and audio-visual effects. On three floors, visitors pass through the eras of "The Birth of Industry", "Socialism" and "Modern Times", and the experience is complemented by a Formula 1 simulator and a bird's-eye film of Gabrovo and the surrounding area.
