The Town’s Clock Tower
The Gabrovo Clock Tower (1835) is a landmark of the Bulgarian National Revival and one of the tallest in the country, rising 27.70 m above the historic centre. Built with guild funding and local volunteer labour, it long marked the hours only by its bell—without a dial until the early 20th century—and remains one of Gabrovo’s most authentic historical symbols.
Gradishte fortress
Gradishte is one of the favorite recreation spots near Gabrovo, just 3 km from the city—an open meadow with a children’s playground, restaurants, and picnic areas. An eco-trail leads to the Late Antique fortress of Gradishte, with preserved wall remains, early Christian churches and panoramic views toward Gabrovo, the Shipka Pass area and Botev Peak.

Monument of Racho Kovacha (“Racho the Blacksmith”)
The symbol of the enterprising spirit – the monument of Racho Kovacha, was erected on the rock next to the bridge “Igoto” (“The Yoke”) designed by the sculptor Lyubomir Dalchev in 1935.

The Monument to Alexander Kerkov
The monument to Alexander Kerkov in Gabrovo pays tribute to the pioneer of fanfare music in Bulgaria – composer, teacher, and inspirer of generations of young musicians. Located in the pedestrian zone, it is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city.
